| In
Late 1930, a woman named Angelina Arrived in New York
with her family from Italy. Only having each other and
their traditions, life in their new home was very different.
As they embarked on a new beginning, Angelina strove
to keep family traditions alive. Wanting to keep the
family connected to their Italian culture As they embraced
their new life in America, Angelina cooked wonderful
meals each night for her family. She sought out the
best ingredients she could find to prepare traditional
Italian meals, using only the freshest vegetables, meats,
pastas, herbs and spices.
Angelina
always followed family recipes which had been passed
down from mother to daughter for generations. Every
night was a memorable occasion, when the family sat
down for dinner. While favorite dishes
were passed around for second and third helpings,
and aromas of fresh garlic, rosemary and basil filled
the air, conversation flowed, and stories of the old
world were brought to life.
These
family times kept traditions, culture and recipes
alive.
